Welcome to the new home of the Thirsty Theologian. Blogging has been sparse lately, and this is why:

Moving the blog — Loki had promised to do most of the work on this move, but he didn't come through and I ended up building the new templates. Now there are posts to move, and he's still slacking.

Remodeling — we are remodeling a laundry/bathroom and laying hardwood floors in the living room and a bedroom. Loki said he would help with that, too, but I'm starting to lose confidence in him. Measuring, figuring, planning, shopping for fixtures and cabinets, all take time and aspirin.

Speaking of aspirin, I've been explaining things like this to kids who would rather not do them:

1/5
3/10
=5/x

x = 7½

I left out the steps to the solution so you can ask your dad to explain it to you. Bring aspirin. The slower you are, the more he will need.

The move from Blogger to Movable Type was not as complicated as anticipated, but new is new, and there is a lot to learn.

We will get back on track when we can, so please bear with us. The old site will be open until the move is complete, but from now on this is where the action (such as it is) will be.

But better than blogspot... :)

"It looks.. remarkably the same."

I'm not sure if that's good or ... not.

Anyway, after my battles with MSIE, I learned that if I put my template in a table, all browsers would be forced to obey. I just transfered that template here, replacing Blogger components with MT. As of right now, the sidebar components (other than the archive links) are still running on Blogger.

David, you tell Loki for me, he's a slacker and should be ashamed of himself.

Someday when you don't have 9 billion projects on the go, I'd love to have you teach me how to move my blog too. I'm comfortable with blogspot, but I'd like a bit more control that other blog hosts have to offer.

The site looks good, cleaner, easier & faster loading.

Hey there David, just saying hello as this is my first time to the site. I was encouraged by your statement of theology as it appears we are of the same mind. I look forward to learning alot here.

I spend alot of time on unsaved people's blogs and have run into the argument again and again that the reason people do not believe is because they believe the Bible to be erroneous. I believe differently, but what do you tell people besides, "It is TOO God's perfect word!"

Maybe you could direct me to a good website dealing with the subject or post what you know?
