| Crash! |
I'm sitting at my wife's computer, cursing technology--or, rather, my dependence on technology that fails. After six years of mostly faithful service, my computer has crashed. Hopefully, I'll get it fixed fairly soon, but until then, I'll be mostly off-line. While I'm gone, take a look at The World from Our Window. Ken Fields is working on a sidebar links thingy similiar to my On the Web links.
Note to Jonathan Moorhead: Stop gloating. I will not be getting a Mac.

Ah, you beat me to the punch! You must have seen my recent post on the new Mac ads. Come on Dave. Seriously. You can totally run all your old infected Windows stuff on a Mac now so there is no reason not to go for it. Do it. Do it. Do it!

I will not be getting a Mac.
He says as he searches for the perfect clip art to describe his thoughts on his PC...

Yes, you're both right. Except maybe Jonathan. No, he can't be right. That would be wrong--very wrong.
Besides, unless mine is unrepairable, there's no way I'm getting a new anything. I spent all my computer money on a 24" widescreen not that long ago.

I bet a new mac would work great with that new widescreen.

Ugh. I feel your pain. Happened to us once. Hope it gets all straightened out soon!

Gee, david, if I was around your place, I'd build you one. The most reliable boxes I've had are my home-built ones. Not the cheapest option in the world, but I sure do know the quality of what's inside of them.
Barring a home-build, I'm with Jonathan - go Mac. I have many friends who have made the Wintel-Mac switchover, and they are now true Mac Moonies now. If I could build a Mac, I'd be running OS X today (in fact, I have a Panther skin on my WinXP system today...) My next laptop will definitely be a MacBook.

Bill, I'd take you up on it, too. I've always wanted to custom build my own hotrod computer.

Jonathon speaketh thee Truth - thou musteth geta Mac! As for thy hair length, it may seem good to you to conform to this world's standard (Romanesque) but I prefer to be conformed to the length Jesus wore.
