Book Give-away I Winner

As promised, the winnerof Iain Muray's Revival & Revivalism: The Making and Marring of American Evangelicalism, 1750–1858 was drawn yesterday morning by an entirely impartial set of seven-year-old fingers. The winner is:

Shannon Jordan.

Congratulations; I hope you enjoy the book. To the rest of you, better luck next time. I encourage you to buy the book yourselves, which you can do in a couple of ways. You can buy it from Amazon by clicking this link, which would send a few nickels my way and help pay for these drawings, or, what would please me even more, you can buy it here from Monergism.com, and support one of the most useful online Christian ministries.

Thanks to all for reading and entering.

That is an incredible book. I have it, and read it a couple of years ago, and shared with the fellow leaders in my church some of its content, especially the info of how Billy Graham did what he did.

I must confess, he was, and still is, one of the people I admire greatly, but after reading this book, I must admit, he did some bad things.
And it's difficult to absorb, and even more difficult to share with others, because Billy is so well loved and admired.

It was a difficult book for me read, and understand, but still well worth the effort.

Have a joyful 4th.

It's always difficult to see our icons knocked off their pedestals. I was never an admirer of Graham, even as an Arminian, but I did once think Finney was a great evangelist. Oh, the shame!

I supported Jimmy Swaggert for a while. Thank God for His mercy, and for the truth when He seeks and saves one of His sheep, we are able to hear His voice in the long run.
