Friday Freebee

Watch this video of James White refuting Norman Geisler, especially if you are an Arminian (or one of those mythical “neither Calvinist nor Arminian” creatures). The first person to point out the glaring inconsistency—on Dr. White’s part, not Geisler’s—will receive a free copy of The Potter’s Freedom, compliments of the Thirsty Theologian.

I had to really listen closely to this to try to see what you were getting at.
The only thing I can see(and it may be that I will just be showing my ignorance) is that Dr. White's parable is just as sub biblical as Dr. Geisler's.

It seems to me that the unsaved do NOT know they are in a burning building and about to perish. They are merrily going about their God rejecting life. On the cross Jesus prayed "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

Paul say this in 1 Cor 2:7-9
"But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
ESV
No person would be about to burn to death in a building and refuse to be rescued. I think that may be an extremely unusual case. Remember the picture of the people jumping to their deaths on 9-11.

I just see his parable as sub-biblical.

O well we shall see! I may have missed the whole point.

Great, now I have to watch a half hour video...

#3 || 08·08·01··10:02 || Daniel

Was it that White had the desecrators choosing to desecrate by their own free will?

I was afraid of this. Try to think less biblically and spiritually. And try not to take me too seriously (which should go without saying).

Red had Green hat.

#6 || 08·08·01··11:39 || Victoria Lynch

Yep- it is the red hat green hat thing. I noticed that too but I thought you really wanted us to think biblically--

But alas-you relly wanted us to think sub-biblically!

Sorry for the delay in announcing a winner. Our judges debated at length whether to accept the answer given. First, the headgear in question are caps, not hats. Second, we think the first cap was more orange than red. However, we're going to accept it, with the admonition that entrants endeavor to be more precise in the future.

So Daniel, since you were first, you win.

I think Daniel should have to wait 70 weeks for his prize!!!!!

Brilliant. I wish I'd thought of that before I sent it out.
