Think!

img

Think what Spirit dwells within thee,
What a Father’s smile is thine,
What thy Savior died to win thee;
Child of heaven, should’st thou repine?

—from the hymn “Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken” by Henry F. Lyte, quoted by Sinclair Ferguson, In Christ Alone: Living the Gospel Centered Life (Reformation Trust, 2007), 78.

Complaining will always be with me this side of heaven. I have a trial, and frustration come my way, or jump in my path, and I usually complain to the Lord. I then repent of my anxiousness, and am restored. And many times God sends a blessing to help me with life's frustrations.

I must be growing in faith, and not worrying so much, because i have to believe God is faithful to His children. At least I hope I am growing less worrisome, and more confident in His grace, power, and promises.
