You Might Be a Redneck . . .
I think this looks like fun. Does that make me a redneck?
Funniest thing I‘ve read all week:
“Student volunteers from colleges around New York State braved freezing cold temperatures on their bikes Wednesday to send a message to state and federal political candidates: pay attention to climate change.” (HT)

A bonafide redneck to the core.
Have a happy Lord's day.

I cycled into work this morning, though I wasn't protesting. the temperature was 23F with a contrary wind of 8mph, coupled to my average speed of about 15.5 mph - that comes out to 23F with a wind of 23.5 mph - which produces a windchill that makes it feel like about 7F. Needless to say, I am not impressed with the protest. In Canada we ride like that every day - it just makes these Utica cyclists look like sissies, since if this is a protest ride, it suggests they don't normally ride in perfectly good (albeit mildly chilly) weather. Goodness, are all Americans cream puffs, or just the tree huggers?

I, for one, am not a cream puff. I am also not a redneck. I resent any contrary insinuations.

David, I should send you an honorary lumber jacket.

I already have a Filson wool jacket, vest, and cap, and a double-bitted axe. I’m set.
