| Today is election day in the United States. I will be spending much of the day in prayer for my country. If you have not yet voted, I invite you to peruse the links on this page. Please join me today, even if you are coming here from another country, in prayer for America. | ![]() |

How do we pray?
Do we pray for the Church? I suppose that would be the best way to pray. And yet we can pray for our nation as well.
I do pray that the leaders of our nation would come to the Cross of Christ for forgiveness and mercy, and that they would repent and believe the gospel. All those who know not the truth, I pray they would come to know the truth, and so be set free from the darkness of this world, and the realm of Satan.
And so come into the Savior's marvelous light, as He has brought countless others, for the glory of His grace, and pleasure of His purpose. Amen.

After almost dressing in sack cloth and ashes this morning I had a most wonderful reminder from the Lord--
God sets up rulers and God brings them down-- I guess He just gave us exactly what we deserve!

Victoria, if God gave us what we deserve, this whole country would be nothing but a smoking hole in the ground. But you’re right, God was sovereign over this election, and he did what was best.

You know David----we very well may be a smoking hole in the ground before the next four years pass.

Very good post. I have seen some disappointing posts from Christians, but this one is the truth we need to face and deal with. Thanks.
