Congratulations

John Adams is quoted as saying, “No man who ever held the office of president would congratulate a friend on obtaining it.”

In that spirit, I* offer my heartfelt congratulations to both John McCain and Barack Obama.†

*No, I’ve never been President. I’m just taking Adams’ word for it.

†I know. I said yesterday was my last political post. But you see, this one doesn’t count, as it’s kind of a joke.

I wonder how George Bush feels about getting out? Just going back to Texas and enjoying life perhaps. It must be hard to be hated so much. And for his wife as well.

Barak will be hated, but not as much I don't think. At least Oberman won't spew forth evil words about Barak, as he did with President Bush. In fact, who is he going to belittle now? MSNBC has a dilemma.

This is my last political comment here. I think.

Have a wonderful weekend, and especially Lord's day when you gather with Our Lord Jesus' beloved people.

Yes, George Bush probably deserves congratulations more than any. He hasn’t been the greatest President, but he surely hasn’t deserved the treatment he’s gotten.
