This post in defense of (sort of, but not really) Joel Osteen has led me to think that Osteen's latest book is right, at least as far as the title goes. Every Christian should live as though every day is Friday. Keep in mind, however, what Jesus’ last Friday was like. Then consider his command to make “every day a Friday.”
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?—Matthew 16:24–26 (cf. Mark 8:34–36, Luke 9:23–25)
I don’t think that’s what Smiley Joel had in mind, though.

I just wrote a very similar post...I appreciate your viewpoint. It scares me sometimes when we look at the Word, and think about so many people that could very likely be surprised on judgement day. It often keeps me up at night.
